Revive MD Palmitoylethanolamide
Palmitoylethanolamide (PEA) is a fatty acid produced naturally by the body in response to inflammation and pain. This fatty acid is known as a peripherally acting pain reliever. This is because PEA is produced in the body on demand and works at the site of injury or soreness to reduce inflammation and shut down the pain signal. Although the body makes PEA, supplementing with this naturally occurring fatty acid can help target the underlying cause of pain in various pain conditions.
Acetaminophen and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are usually used as first-line treatment for pain. However, they are not free of side effects and long-term use can be dangerous. As such, safer alternatives are needed. PEA has an established safety profile and, unlike NSAIDs, has no documented adverse impact on cardiovascular or organ health.
